Haedong Yonggungsa Temple - AπŸ₯‡

Hey Guys! It's Rocky

Today I brought one of the most wonderful and famous touring spot in Busan.

It is Haedong Yonggungsa Temple.

Basic Information

Haedong Yonggung Temple is a Buddhist temple in Gijang-gun, Busan.
The temple was built in 1376 during the Goryeo Dynasty. However it was destroyed during the 'Japanese invasions of Korea' but was rebuilt in the 1930s.

It is the closest temple to the sea in Korea (as u can see:)

Very famous spot even to koreans, so you have to choose good day to visit.
If not you might have to queue up for an hour. (That is what i didπŸ˜₯)

How to get there

-I posted Busan's subway map at my previous post!-

You can find Osiria station on the right side of the subway map.
It is on the sky blue line.

After you arrive at the station, go out to EXIT 1, and take 1001 Bus and take off at Dongbusan Tourist complex. And... you have to walk for about 15min.

So! What I suggest is after you arrive at the Osiria station, take Taxi. In Korea, Taxi is very often used. Anyway, it will only cost about ₩5000 but you don't have to walk, and you can really save time.

Rocky's TipπŸͺ„

πŸŸ₯ Visit on weekdays!
As I said this place is very popular to Koreans too. I strongly disrecommend visiting on weekends.

🟦 Visit on Buddha's Birthday!
On Buddha's Birthday, the biggest Buddism anniversary, the temple sets hundreds of laterns just like the picture in the top. But you should know this, there will be hundreds of people.

πŸŸͺVisit shops!
At the enterance of the temple, there are shops selling Buddism sourvenirs and popular korean snacks. Some might look or smell unfamiliar, but try it! Most of them are really nice.

This shop sells Korean style Hotdog. I really recommend It. You can even choose your sauce. The drinks are also quite nice.
